چکیده
Vortex breakdown, observed in swirling flows, is an interesting physical phenomenon relevant to a wide range of engineering applications, including aerodynamics and combustion. The concept using plasma swirler control vortex breakdown was proposed tested this study. effect actuation on controlling the onset development captured by particle image velocimetry. Flowfield measurement results suggested that, varying strength actuation, location size region controlled effectively. swirl injector offers method for optimal efficient utilization breakdown. being here may represent attractive way small amount energy input, without moving or intrusive part.

15 صفحه اولSteady Axisymmetric Vortex Flows with Swirl and Shear
A general procedure is presented for computing axisymmetric swirling vortices which are steady with respect to an inviscid flow that is either uniform at infinity or includes shear. We consider cases both with and without a spherical obstacle. Choices of numerical parameters are given which yield vortex rings with swirl, attached vortices with swirl analogous to spherical vortices found by Moff...
متن کاملOn the phenomenon of vortex street breakdown
A von Karman vortex street generated in the usual way was subjected to a deceleration, thereby changing the ratio of longitudinal to lateral spacing between the vortices. Distortion of the individual vortices followed which resulted in annihilation of concentrated vortex regions and creation of a stationary wake flow. This wake flow was itself dynamically unstable and developed into a new vorte...
